All tours begin and end by the registration table.
THE ESSENTIAL QUESTION
This may already describe your presentation, but it’s worth reiterating that presentations should focus on practical solutions for sustainability.
Looking for presentation ideas? Here’s content to consider: a brief overview, list of features, description, best practices, goals, results, interesting facts, an interesting story, strategies, local resources, etc.
Our conference audiences are professionals and learners from government, grassroots, business, and education. People at all levels – from mayors to students – attend our conferences. Our 2016 conference gathered 320 people from 9 states, 30 campuses, 35 nonprofits, 35 businesses, 60 Massachusetts communities, and more.
Suggestion: Walk your route in advance to plan your 55-minute tour.
Identify specific places where you will stop and speak.
Face your group when you speak, so they can hear you.
Ask someone in your group to be the timekeeper so you end on time.
I can provide someone to walk with your group to help keep track of time and help keep an eye on the group.
Safety is important. Look at your group as they cross the street and make sure they are safe.
MEDIA & RELEASE
By agreeing to participate in this conference you agree to photos & videos for news and promotions.
In keeping with our environmental mission and reduced materials goal, do not bring printed handouts. If you have something you want people to read, email it to me before or after the conference. I will post it on our website, www.MaSustainableCommunities.com. Our participants often ask for info after the conference and it is appreciated.
No soliciting. No exceptions. Exchanging business cards while networking is fine.
Please bring your own reusable water bottle or coffee mug.
